On May 12-13, 2025, Miami-based CHG US Holdings LLC (a/k/a Planta Group) and 17 affiliates (together, the "debtors") filed chapter 11 bankruptcy cases in the District of Delaware (Judge Walrath). The debtors operate a chain of restaurants in seven states plus the District of Columbia, as well some non-debtor Canadian affiliates. The concept? High quality, seasonal, plant-based (read: vegan) food and drinks that … LOL … c’mon … did they actually write this? … yes, 😔, they did … that … “…show off the power of vegetables.”
For those of you in NYC who want to experience the “power of vegetables” first hand, there’s a location in Nomad and, for the Brooklyn yuppies among you, Williamsburg. The menu doesn’t appear to include buffalo wings or mozz sticks so you’re not likely to bump into Johnny there so please let the PETITION team know how the ahi watermelon “spicy tuna” is — however the f*ck that works. Bonus: if you go, you may even get laid, apparently.
