đ„New Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Filing - SiFi Networks America, LLCđ„
Fiber company files to cleanse its assets for repurchasing current owner
Holy hell, another snooze fest.
On June 5, 2026, SiFi Networks America, LLC (the âdebtorâ) filed a chapter 11 sale case in the District of Delaware (Judge Shannon). Through agreements with local municipalities, the debtor develops, operates, and leases âfiber-to-the-premisesâ networks to internet service providers in California, the Midwest, and previously East Hartford, CT and Saratoga Springs, NY. It, uh, abandoned those. Anyway, each individual network is housed in its own SPV and funded by institutional investors that have dumped an aggregate ~$1b into âem since â13. The SPVs are the source of the debtorâs revenue â they pay the debtor development and management fees, which earns it about $10mm annually, making every Kirkland & Ellis LLP partner quip:
To supplement the debtorâs peanut-sized rev, its parent â the UK-based SiFi Networks America Ltd. (the âparentâ) â historically funded its working capital.
