✈️New Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Filing - Dynamic Aerostructures LLC (FMI Aerostructures)✈️
Outside lenders compete to provide debtors with an expensive DIP-to-sale.
On February 25, 2025 (and February 26, 2025), SoCal-based Dynamic Aerostructures LLC (FMI Aerostructures) and 2 affiliates (collectively, the “debtors”) filed chapter 11 bankruptcy cases in the District of Delaware (Judge Silverstein). The debtors describe themselves as a “leading manufacturer and supplier of parts and assemblies in the aerospace and defense industry,” but that woefully undersells the business. Like, totally weak stuff guys.
Hold on a sec. Hey, Alexa, play Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins.
Heck yeah, that’s the soundtrack we’re looking for. Had the debtors hired this PETITION team, we’d tell it like it is. They make precision-machined, flight-science-critical structural airframes and wing components for these certifiably bada$$ mofos:
HECK yeah! That last one’s a rocketship! You know what else they worked on? These stealthy b*tches:

G-ddamn, if the sight of those beauties doesn’t get your blood pumping red, white, and blue, nothing will.
In short, if you find yourself peepin’ a slick-a$$ American fighter jet, you can bet your bottom dollar these guys and gals had their hands on it.
So why are these hella-wicked debtors in bankruptcy? Too sh*tty contracts with too few counterparties. Oh, and quality control issues didn’t help, but we’ll get there.
