💥New Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Filing - Avant Gardner, LLC💥
Cost overruns kill ambitious plans and EDM outfit needs some BK medicine.

On August 4, 2025, Brooklyn-based AGDP Holding Inc. (“Holding”), Avant Gardner, LLC (“Avant Gardner”), and four affiliates (collectively, together with Holding and Avant Gardner, the “debtors”) filed chapter 11 sale cases in the District of Delaware (Judge Walrath). Question for you: does poppin’ molly in an industrial warehouse, surrounded by a sh*tload of scantily-clad strangers dancing their a$$es off to EDM sound like a good time?
F*ckin’ squares.
In any event, that’s the debtors’ biz. Founded in ‘17, they operate The Brooklyn Mirage, The Great Hall, and The Kings Hall in East Williamsburg, which are “… a central hub for world-class touring talent, regularly hosting some of the most prominent DJs and music artists globally, especially in the EDM space.” Scheduled artists through the end of ‘25 include The Chainsmokers, Illenium, and Tiesto.
Yeah, we don’t know either, but Johnny is on the case.
In any event, this ain’t some formed-too-close-to-COVID tale. After being forced to shut their doors from March ‘20 through June ‘21, the debtors reopened to heaps of “…pent-up demand for live music and nightlife …,” 💃🕺.
Then, in ‘22, Avant Gardner acquired EZ Festivals LLC and Made Event LLC, “… the owners and promoters of the Electric Zoo festival …,” which is this nightmare…
… and while Avant Gardner had strong revenue growth and demand the following year, the ‘23 Electric Zoo apparently “… faced operational and financial challenges, which led to a class action lawsuit …” based on, uh, its being a total clusterf*ck. The debtors oversold the event by 7k tickets, denied entry once capacity had been reached, canceled the first day of the show altogether, and when it finally opened, the lines were E.N.D.L.E.S.S.:

Though, that too wasn’t fatal, and folks got refunds … nine months later, 😡.
